Furano & Ice Fishing Day Trip
Following pick-up from Sapporo, we’ll drive to Furano, one of the best mountain towns in Hokkaido. Once in Furano, you can choose between a variety of different morning activities, such as snow play (tubing, snow rafting, 4x4 buggies, etc.) or perhaps a food DIY workshop at the Furano Cheese Factory (morning activities are self-pay). In the afternoon, we’ll drive an hour south of Furano for ice fishing at Lake Kanayama, a frozen lake ringed by mountains. You’ll be provided all the equipment necessary for ice fishing, including poles, bait, and a private ice fishing tent for your group. Any fish caught will be prepared into delicious tempura on the spot. Our final stop will be a local products market in Minami-Furano which showcases the region’s locally-produced wares. The drive back to Sapporo takes about 2.5 hours, where you can be dropped-off at any location in the city.
